I would like to thank you for the congratulations on my re-election as President of the Czech Republic.

The Federation of the Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic is an important constituent part of your Congress and it was therefore a matter-of-course that last January I met with the then President of the Congress Pierre Besnainou and other executive members here at the Prague Castle. In my second term too, I will continue working towards maintaining good relations with your institution, preserving the memory of victims of the Nazi crimes and revising historical events connected therewith.
