The World Holocaust Forum Foundation is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and its important lessons for all of humanity. The Foundation has been charged with two major functions.
The International Forums are unique in that they call for the direct participation of world leaders in the examination and the advancement of Holocaust education and commemoration in their respective nations and throughout the world. Moreover, the Forum raises awareness about the state of global antisemitism and works in conjunction with world leaders for its eradication.
Founded upon the initiative of Yad Vashem and the World Holocaust Forum Foundation, the education programme includes teaching seminars that create a network of European educators that enables the dissemination of Holocaust education throughout various European nations. This core of educators will in turn be able to instruct other educators in each of the individual nations as well as prepare instruction materials in each of the European languages. Furthermore, the materials will be culturally sensitive so that this essential information can be conveyed in the most efficient manner.
